History
The oldest tattoo discovered dates back to 5200 BC. Tattoos were often used to confirm a connection to a community or as a religious practice. Needles were often made from bone fragments, pieces of wood or blades.
The method was used among many peoples - Americans, Inuit, inhabitants of Borneo or Sak Yant performed by Buddhist monks.
What are its characteristics?
The Handpoke method is tattooing without a machine, using a needle and ink. A tattoo needle is dipped in ink and then inserted into the skin dot by dot, although artists don't limit themselves to just little projects. A good example would be the works of @sharry.ink.
A tattoo made with this method is as permanent as one made with a machine, so there is no need to worry that it will disappear over time. It allows you to create a precise pattern on a small surface. However, when deciding to make a tattoo using this method, remember that it takes slightly more time than a tattoo done with a machine.
